Department: Family and Community Medicine (0704)Location: University of Arizona Health SciencesPosition Summary Under the working title of Operation Procedure Writer, the candidate selected for this position will coordinate and supervise the development and implementation of a policy and procedures manual for the Department of Family and Community Medicine (DFCM). The individual in this position will interface with stakeholders in DFCM's clinical enterprise, business office, diverse faculty and staff, supervise collection of information, and analyze and understand University, Banner Health, and Health Sciences policies and procedures. The goal of this time limited project is to create a comprehensive manual of DFCM's policies and procedures. Duties & Responsibilities Obtain information from diverse stakeholders within DFCM, University and Banner Health on current procedures and practices. Review existing policies and procedures for DFCM, University and Banner Health as relevant. Supervise the collection of information for manual. Reach out to other departments within the UA and peer institutions for information relevant to developing policies and procedures. Develop policy/procedure templates and write policies/procedures with consistent format and language. Vet policies and procedures drafted with Executive Leadership Team and other relevant stakeholders. Create manual on line for all policies and procedures with searchable index. There may be additional duties assigned as it relates to this position. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Knowledge of issues pertaining to area of assignment. Knowledge of DFCM organizational practices and lines of business. Knowledge of supervisory practices and principles. Ability to effectively communicate effectively orally and in writing. Ability to work well individually and in teams. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a field appropriate to the area of assignment AND four years administrative/coordinative program experience; OR, Master's degree in field appropriate to area of assignment AND three years administrative/coordinative program experience; OR, Eight years of progressively responsible administrative/ coordinative program experience; OR, Any equivalent combination of experience, training and/or education.
