Crosswalk Technologies is a Tucson-based Southwest business technology consultancy and integration firm that is looking for persons interested in joining our organization. Our core clientele are primarily government regulated businesses (healthcare/finance/legal/engineering). We are in need to support the continuing growth of our organization by adding more Technical Support Specialists; both entry-level part-time, and entry-level/senior-level full-time positions available. These positions are multi-tasking in nature and crosses multiple roles.



Entry-Level Tech:
This position is ideal for a non-formally trained person who has a desire to enter the technical services field with only academic or hobby-level skills and knowledge. This position requires some mandatory skill-sets, however we train everyone in-house to our standards and work-flow procedures.

Who this position is geared towards:
- Someone with little or no formal IT training, but has a good basic understanding of computer and network hardware and Windows operating systems.
- Someone desiring a chance at an entry-level position that could lead to the development of more complex and marketable skills
- Someone willing to work part-time and off-hours with the desire to become full-time



Senior-Level Tech:
This position is ideal for a formally trained person who has a desire to design, implement, and support the following:
- Windows Active Directory environments
- Copper and fiber network infrastructure deployments
- Indoor wireless networks and outdoor wireless bridging
- NAS and SAN storage platforms
- Hyper-V server and VDI systems
- Enterprise-level backup systems and disaster recovery services
- UTM and NGFW network security
- Network traffic diagnostics and troubleshooting
- Network traffic prioritization and optimization
- 10GE copper and fiber infrastructure experience
- Familiarization of business grade switch platforms (including POE/POE+, RJ45, SFP/SFP+)
- Cybersecurity and HIPAA/PCI compliance experience
- Familiar with business email servers and or services (including email encryption)
- SIP and TDM UC telephony communications systems
- IP-based surveillance and access-control systems
- Business multimedia presentation and audio systems
- Dataroom/server room hardware and installation (including HVAC and rack systems)
- Familiar with proper datacom equipment grounding and UPS systems

Who this position is geared towards:
- Someone with formal IT training or competent skill-sets in business-level computer, datacom, communications, security, storage, multimedia hardware, and related software applications
- Someone who wants to develop advanced team organizational and teaching abilities
- Someone desiring to manage a team of field techs as an onsite project manager
- Someone who enjoys R&D and development of future marketable technology services
- Someone who wants to be a driver in helping us continually evolve our service offerings



Interested applicants must have an overwhelming desire to learn and practically apply OJT gained knowledge. What is important is:
- Your ability to learn by observing and assisting seasoned technicians
- Your ability to accurately and reliably follow instructions
- Your ability to be positive and enthusiastic in a challenging field
- Your ability to enjoy working within a team support structure
- Your ability to accurately acquire information to minimize redundant training
- Your ability to effectively self-organize and efficiently time-manage
- Your ability to effectively organize your work life so it doesn't interfere with your personal life
- Your ability to effectively organize your personal life so it doesn't interfere with your work life
- Your willingness to study outside normal work hours to continually develop your skills

Ideal candidates should be:
- Comfortable working around our customer staff and their clients in a professional manner
- Comfortable working around third-party vendors (contractors, electricians, millwork installers, etc...) in a professional manner
- Comfortable working on 10ft or shorter ladders
- Competent with basic hand and power tools
- Able to lift at least 30lbs by themselves

Tech job parameters:
- Compensation DOE, increases based on skill competency development
- Expect some regular evening and weekend scheduled customer-site work
- Requires valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Uniforms and basic tech tools are provided
