Possesses awareness of significant contributing factors to manage project change, demonstrates a solid understanding of the end to end business processes and the critical IT dependencies as well as knowledge of additional regions and Enterprise needs . Primary duties may included, but are not limited to: * Manages projects across business units, regions or the enterprise; * Influences at all levels within the organization, often setting strategy and direction; * Coaches and mentors project team members; * Mentors other project managers around project management methodology; * Determines project scope; develops resource, risk, quality, cost, and scope management plans; * Develops training plans; * Defines, recommends and secures contractual agreements for services and products; * Coordinates requirements, schedules implementation and post-implement plans, and develops service-level agreements for vendor partners and global resources firms; * Develops requirements documents; * Develops project approval matrix; identifies project team training and tool needs; * Defines quality gates for each project methodology phase; * Defines critical success factors; * Establishes and manages the project warranty period. * Requires a BA/BS in a related field; Minimum of 9 years professional project management experience required during which at least 7 years are spent leading and directing large project tasks, or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. * Project Management Professional (PMP) certification required. * Experience working in a lead role on one or more projects required. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills. * Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment. * Ability to work independently and with a team. * Strong leadership skills and ability to support multiple clients required. * Experience working in a matrixed organization highly preferred. * Masters in Project Management preferred. * Must be willing to travel up to 25%*/Anthem, Inc. is ranked as one of America?s Most Admired Companies among health insurers by Fortune magazine and is a 2017 DiversityInc magazine Top 50 Company for Diversity.
