Department: Chemistry & Biochemistry - Sci (2536)Location: Main CampusPosition Summary The Talanquer Laboratory in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry is hiring a Research Technician, whose responsibilities will be to work on the development of educational materials to help STEM faculty and teaching teams to better manage student work in large collaborative learning spaces. They will assist on research activities taking place in STEM classrooms by conducting observations, collecting data, and helping data analysis. This is a temporary position with the ability to extend employment, based on departmental need. Assist with data storage and organization Assist with qualitative and quantitative data analysis. Assist with data collection in classrooms, including audio recordings and field notes. Minimum Qualifications Please see Arizona Board of Regents Minimum Qualifications Arizona Board of Regents Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a field appropriate to the area of assignment; OR, Four years research experience appropriate to the area of assignment; OR, Any equivalent combination of experience, training and/or education. Preferred Qualifications M.S. degree in a STEM field plus at least 2 years of experience as an instructor or learning assistant in STEM classrooms. Demonstrated excellence with interpersonal skills, ability to be proactive in solving problems, and communication skills. History of using web-based methods for delivering educational materials.
