The Whole Life Systems Engineering Directorate's mission is to provide superior mission support and data integrity through innovation, collaboration, accountability, and flawless execution throughout the product life cycle, resulting in best value solutions. Our responsibilities include minimizing the total cost of ownership through engineering upfront planning and decision analysis related to product reliability, maintainability, supportability, safety and environmental impacts to our customers. It also includes the operational aspects of mission support such as field and technical support, repairs and spares management, warranty execution, asset management and program management support. WLSE is also responsible for configuration management, including software configuration management, as well as data management. Our vision is to be the provider of innovative affordable engineering solutions for product life cycle assurance and support to ensure customer satisfaction. NOTE: This position can be a Salary Grade G07 or Salary Grade G08 based on the candidate's qualifications as they relate to the skills, experience and responsibility requirements for the position. The Product Maintenance Services section within the Mission Support Department is looking for an Engineering Logistics Specialist II to contribute to a fast paced innovative team and work closely with the Whole Life Systems Engineering Functional Management and Program Leadership to develop and implement strategic goals, influence system thinking solutions, facilitate forward thinking initiatives to include streamlining and integrating processes, incorporate best-in-class and reliable depot solutions for customer and enterprise initiatives. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, with the ability to develop solutions to problems of unusual complexity that require a high degree of ingenuity, creativity, and innovation. This candidate would have strong values and behavior skills for working with teams and setting examples of valued behaviors. This position requires the ability to multitask in a high energy environment. Selected candidate will interface daily with various levels of management, factory floor personnel across multiple organizations, and external customers to mitigate daily depot challenges while working under general direction. In addition, this position will require management oversight and execution of repair activities to include but not limited to; managing the flow of incoming/outgoing hardware, manage spares inventory levels to ensure parts availability, establish monthly depot repair priorities based on contractual commitments, track depot level repairs/rework from induction through delivery back to customer, provide program and technical insight into the health of the team s execution and facilitation/oversight of DCMA and government customer audits. This individual will also be responsible for tracking contract financial status to assist in managing contract performance. Required Skills: Responds quickly to changes and responds with a positive attitude Analytical problem solving skills Knowledge of sustainment principles, concepts, practices and standards Experience working in fast pace deadline driven roles Familiarity with factory operations, inventory control, and records management/archiving Experience with Earned Value (EV) Management Desired Skills: Knowledge and understanding of FAR 52.245-1, RMS Property and Supply Chain Directives and Instructions Familiarity with SAP (APEX/PRISM), LOKI and Common PDM System thinking Proficiency with MS Office products Experience reporting on and managing EAC's (Estimate at Complete) Experience with contract management and scheduling Required Education: Minimum, 2 years of experience and Bachelors Degree Clearance: Ability to obtain and sustain a government security clearance; Existing Secret Clearance preferred Non-US citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance. The Defense Industrial Security Clearance Office (DISCO), an agency of the Department of Defense, handles and adjudicates the security clearance process. Security clearance factors include, but are not limited to, allegiance to the US, foreign influence, foreign preference, criminal conduct, security violations and drug involvement.
