Required Skills: Ability to contribute in a team environment to develop creative solutions to technical challenges. Working knowledge of Matlab and C/C++ programming languages. Ability to apply expertise from related disciplines. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Course work and/or experience in one or more of the following areas: Digital Signal Processing, Probability Theory, Statistics, Stochastic Signal Processing, Electromagnetics Theory, Pattern Recognition, Machine Learning, Communication Theory, Detection Estimation Theory, or Image Processing Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD issued Secret Security clearance. U.S. Citizenship is required Desired Skills: Exposure to EO and RF sensor phenomenology Required Education (Including Major): Senior or Graduate student majoring in Electrical Engineering, Math, Physics, Computer Science, Optical Science or similar field from an ABET accredited curriculum with a minimum GPA of 3.3. This position can be a Salary Grade ST04 or Salary Grade ST05 based on the candidate's qualifications and standing as outlined below: ST04 (Senior Technical Intern) - must have completed 90 hours of college ST05 (Post-Graduate Technical Intern) - must have an undergraduate degree and be currently seeking a graduate degree (in degree fields listed in Required Education) ***Please upload a copy of your most recent transcripts with your resume when applying to this requisition*** Clearance: This position requires the eligibility to obtain a security clearance. Non-US citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance. The Defense Industrial Security Clearance Office (DISCO), an agency of the Department of Defense, handles and adjudicates the security clearance process. Security clearance factors include, but are not limited to, allegiance to the US, foreign influence, foreign preference, criminal conduct, security violations and drug involvement.
